06 November 2014 at 20:10 CET

A lot is going on in Switzerland in terms of Eurovision right now, as all four public broadcasters are currently conducting their respective regional preselection rounds. The Swiss-German and Romansch broadcaster can together nominate 9 candidates, the Swiss-French broadcaster 6, and the Swiss-Italian 3. In the end, on December 7, all 18 hopefuls will perform their songs live in an "expert check", in which the six lucky acts to compete in the national final will be chosen.

The Swiss-French selection

In an open call for submissions, 26 entries have been received for the Swiss-French selection. You can listen to all of them and watch their videos on the RTS website!

On November 24, we will present those six acts to you which have been chosen by an expert jury to go to the expert check on December 7.

The Swiss-Italian selection

Until October 15, candidates were asked to send in their songs and applications to public broadcaster RSI. A total of 28 songs have been received.

On November 4, a three-member expert jury consisting of Iris Moné, Simone Tomassini, and Paolo Meneguzzi (pictured above) chose the three acts to make it to the expert check:

  • I The Vad Vuc - Cocktail e fantasmi
  • Deborah Bough - Take me back to 23
  • Elias ft. Zero in On - Your perfume

You can listen to the songs on the RSI website.

Earlier this week, we already reported about the regional selection of the Swiss German and Romansch broadcasters:
