Out of 31 shortlisted songs, a commission selected Laka and his song with the working title Pokusaj (Try). The singer is famous in the Balkans and one of the most popular artists in his home country. In a live television show on the 2nd of March, BHRT will present the final version of Laka's Eurovision Song Contest entry to the public.
Bosnia & Herzegovina are selecting their Eurovision Song Contest representatives internally since 2006, making Laka the third consecutive internally selected participant. In 2006, Hari Mati Hari finished third in the Final with Lejla. In Helsinki, last year, Marija Šestić came 11th with the song Rijeka Bez Imena.
