Ruslan Alehno, this year's pride and hope for Belarus, got his looks changed ánd revamped his entry Hasta La Vista. The stylist, Greek photographer George Kalfamanolis, was also responsible for the hot looks of last year's Belarusian entrant Dmitry Koldun.
Due to the latest developments in the Armenian capital Yerevan, where riots took place after the outcome of the presidential elections, the government has imposed a state of emergency until the 20th of March. Armenian broadcaster ARMTV had no choice but to relocate the national final concert from the Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre to its own studios. Armenia picks a song for Sirusho, who has been selected internally, on the 8th of March.

In Russia, Sergey Lazarev and Polina Smolova were added to the list of national final contestants. The latter represented her home country Belarus in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. Russia decides for Belgrade on the 8th of March.
And, last but not least... Marija Šerifović broke up with her manager, Saša Mirković. The singer and her representative ended cooperation after "inability to compromise" about her future carreer. To the Serbian magazine Blic, Mirković stated: "After all the success I have achieved, I got tired of show business."
