Birgit Õigemeel will represent Estonia at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with the song Et Uus Saaks Alguse in the first Semi-Final on the 14th of May.
Earlier this month she participated in the annual Eurovision In Concert event in Amsterdam where many of this year's acts previewed their entries on stage at the Melkweg. As you can see from the above video Birgit is very pleased to be singing in Estonian and even gave us a short acapella rendtion of her ballad.
Incidentally over half of this year's entries will be sung in a native language. Could this mark a new trend at the competition?
