Belgium going for internal selection?

If the last years when it's VRT's turn to choose the Belgian representative, they've chosen to hold a public selection, called Eurosong, then it might change for the 2010 edition of Europe's favourite TV-show. As Belgian fan site, Belgovision.com, and the newspaper Laatste Nieuws report, there's a possibility they'll hold an internal selection this time.

One option for this would be to hold a televised show for the selection of the song of the internally chosen artist. The other one would be just the opposite - having the song already chosen internally by VRT and finding the performer in a series of TV-shows.

Belgium has two European Broadcasting Union member broadcasters which both take part in the Eurovision Song Contest. They rotate the right to choose Belgium's representative for the Contest. This year in Moscow it was RTBF's turn and their choice, Copycat, got one point and finished seventeenth in the first Semi-Final of Europe's favourite TV-show, thus not qualifying for the Final.

Whether they'll decide for an internal selection or not, we'll let you know! Stay tuned!
