We've got another national final to look forward to in the new year!

VRT has announced that Eurosong 2025 will be used to select Belgium's song for Basel. On Saturday 1 February, 8 songs will compete in the Eurovision pre-selection, with a winner chosen via a combination of a public vote and a jury vote.

On Thursday 14 November, VRT revealed the names of the 8 artists that will be taking part:

The 8 Eurosong 2025 acts, along with host Peter Van de Veire VRT

🇧🇪 Grace
🇧🇪 Jelle van Dael
🇧🇪 Le Manou
🇧🇪 LEEZ
🇧🇪 Lenn
🇧🇪 Mentissa
🇧🇪 Red Sebastian
🇧🇪 Stefanie Callebaut

In January, ahead of the Eurosong broadcast, VRT will air two shows during which Belgian TV viewers can get to know the artists and watch a presentation of their songs.

The last time Belgium had a national final to select its Eurovision entry was in 2023, when Gustaph triumphed with Because Of You and gave his country a Top 10 finish at the Grand Final in Liverpool.

Hopes will be high for Eurosong 2025. As well as Because Of You becoming a Eurovision party staple, some of the songs that it competed against at Eurosong 2023 have already entered into the Eurovision pre-selection history books as firm fan favourites.

At the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in 2024, Belgium was represented by Mustii and Before The Party's Over

In Malmö, the song finished in 13th place at the Second Semi-Final.
