Belarusian delegate ZENA brought her energy to the stage for her first rehearsal of 'Like It'. Accompanied by 4 backing dancers, ZENA rehearsed tight choreography alongside her upbeat song. The staging, a mix of bold colours, patterns and lighting changes, proved to be as vibrant as the beat.

Belarus will take to the stage 8th in the first Semi-Final on Tuesday 14 May at Expo Tel Aviv in Israel.

Born Zina Kupriyanovich on 17 September 2002, in Minsk, she began performing as a young child and already has several awards to her name. Those include coming first at Slavianski Bazaar, a kids contest in Vitebsk in 2014 and she won a fellowship for the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus which supports talented young people. In 2016, ZENA became the voice of Moana, the lead female character in the Russian version of the Disney movie by the same name.

What happens on stage?

Wearing a crop top and pants in the same comic-inspired print and covered in part by thigh-high white boots with her name emblazoned at the top, ZENA opened the performance by sitting on a rolling trunk. The trunk then carried her to centre stage, with help of a couple of her backing dancers, just as the chorus picked up. While the staging and outfits are visually quite different from the music video, the sassy choreography remains in keeping with the happy tone of the Belarusian entry.
