09 May 2014 at 21:22 CEST

Basim came onto the stage for his press conference with a big team of 7, including his songwriters and backing singers.

Basim was asked how he was feeling, to which he replied, "I can't wait for tomorrow... I'm very excited and not exhausted.. yet!",

"I feel the power of the people... ok yeah, that's the UK song", he went on to say when asked if there was any extra pressure on him performing on home turf in Denmark.

He also spoke about how overwhelming it was to step onto the big Eurovision Song Contest stage but that he felt so scared standing backstage waiting to go on.

Basim was asked which artists had made an impression on him so far to which he said, "Conchita from Austra was fabulous and definitely had the best vocals of the Semi-Finals". He also mentioned that the guy with the parachute from Georgia was "really cool".

"I really want the best song to win"

One of the backing singers, Ayoe, said she hoped Denmark would win again but Basim went on to say, "I know this sounds corny but I really want the best song to win, and it depends on which song the people like the best".

Denmark will compete in 23rd position at the Grand Final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest tomorrow night at the B&W Hallerne in Copenhagen.
