Azerbaijan has kicked off its search for its 2012 entry by calling for songs to be submitted.
Next year's host broadcaster, Ictimai, has said that entries must be submitted between the 15th and 25th of October.
When calling for entries, Ictimai said that, "the competition will be conducted in accordance with the Eurovision Song Contest rules and requirements" with the aim of ensuring there is "transparency and objectivity".
The broadcaster is also looking for candidates that have, "a good voice, dancing skills and are confident on stage". In addition emphasis has been placed on both a jury and public opinion playing a pivotal role in the selection process with both having an equal weighting.

The lucky act chosen to represent Azerbaijan in 2012 will have the honour of performing on home turf in the final of Europe's favourite TV-show on the 26th of May.
