iTV decided to conduct the final selection internally, because it'd leave them more resource and time to select their participant and her/their promotion.
Milk & Kisses, Safura and Maryam Shabanova will compete for the ticket to the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. The final decision will be made by a seven-member national jury. Full list of the jury can be found on the website of iTV.
Meanwhile, iTV proceeds with the submission process for the song selection. There is no nationality limits of the authors thus all talented songwriters are welcome to join the competition. The songwriters can submit their lyrics, preferably in Azeri or English. However, lyrics written in other European languages as French or Spanish will not automatically exclude the song from the selection process. Song submissions accompanied with a cover letter and a short biography of the songwriter are welcome at [email protected].
Just two days ago, three participants qualified for the final in Azerbaijan. It was already known then that the songs might be changed for them, nor was a date for the final given.
Azerbaijan finished third last year at Europe's favourite TV-show with Always by Arash and Aysel.
