Gaçe (36) is a household name in Albania and won the Festivali i Këngës before in 1999 and 2001. Back then, Albania was not taking part yet in the Eurovision Song Contest. The singer lives in New York. Back in 2004, she performed the Albanian and US anthems at an event attended by former president Bill Clinton. She released five albums to date, the last one in 2008.
Kejsi Tola, who represented Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 with Carry Me In Your Dreams, entered the competition but did not manage to qualify for the final to take a second chance on the international stage. Earlier this year, Albania was represented by Juliana Pasha and It's All About You. She finished 16th in the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo.
