Arena update: Stage nears completion in Düsseldorf

In less than two weeks, 43 participants, thousands of fans and the international media will descend on Düsseldorf to witness the spectacle that is Europe's favourite TV show. In preparation for this, NDR has been constructing a huge stage at the Düsseldorf Arena where 35,000 people will be able to see the show live. In addition, hundreds of millions of people all over the world will have their eye fixed on the stage on the 10th, 12th and 14th of May. 

Over the last couple of weeks a press centre, stage and other facilities have been constructed in and around the arena, and now they are nearing completion. 

The huge circular stage emanates into the area with a huge and impressive 18 metre high LED wall in the background.
