The 'American Song Contest' will now premiere on Monday 21 March, 2022, during a two-hour primetime extravaganza on NBC in the States. The Grand Final will air on Monday 9 May - one day before the Eurovision Song Contest First Semi-Final.

The Contest will feature original musical performances representing all 50 states, five U.S. territories and the nation’s capital, with artists competing to win the title of Best Original Song in a grand spectacle.

An incredible solo artist, duo or a band will represent each location and perform a new original song, that celebrates the different styles and genres found across America.

The live competition consists of three Qualifying Rounds, followed by the Semi Finals and the ultimate Grand Final where one state or territory will emerge victorious.
