Amandine from France kicks off with pride

Amandine Bourgeois represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 EBU

The most important part of a show is the beginning, the middle, and the end. You have to capture the TV viewers from the start. The show starts with a fantastic clip, the music of which was written by Benny and Björn from ABBA and the DJ Avicii.

It’s an honour for us to be scheduled right after ABBA

"You often remember the artist that opens Eurovision. Thus, it’s ideal to make an impression." The French Head of Delegation Frédéric Valencak told us backstage after the running order was announced.

Let’s not forget that Patricia Kaas sang from the 3rd position in Eurovision 2009, and she could enter the Top 10 in that year (she came 8th). In the history of Eurovision, three winners also opened the show, that was in 1975, in Sweden, in 1976 and in1984.

Amandine herself is cool with her starting position as the competition opener. She'll also cross the audience as the first act in the parade, behind the French flag, something she's proud of and makes her realize about the task ahead of her in front of millions of viewers tonight.

Amandine Bourgeois just released her entry L'Enfer Et Moi (Hell And Me) as her first single with Warner Music France. She's already working in the upcoming album with the label to come out this summer.
