'Χάρηκα' - it's Amanda Tenfjord for Greece! 🇬🇷

ERT has announced that Amanda Tenfjord will represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin.

Last month, broadcaster ERT revealed the names of 5 artists in the running to represent the Greece in Italy next May were: Amanda Tenfjord, good job nicky, Joanna Drigo, Ilias Kozas and Lou is.

The 24 year-old was born in Greece and later moved with her family to Norway, settling in… you guessed it… Tenfjord (the inspiration for her stage name).

Her first album, First Impression, received excellent reviews in the music press, and the song Then I Fell In Love, from album two, remained in Norway’s official Top 10 chart for over 20 weeks.

In 2020, Netflix included Amanda’s song Troubled Water in the TV series Spinning Out.

Besides her artistic journey, Amanda is currently studying medicine and doing her placement in a hospital for COVID-19 patients.

The song Amanda will be performing in Turin will be revealed at a later date (from a total of forty songs that were considered by the broadcaster).

About Greece in Eurovision

Greece have been regular Eurovision participants since 1974, and are one of very few nations to have never finished last in a Grand Final.

In 2005 Helena Paparizou stole the show in Kyiv with My Number One, taking the Contest to Greece for the first time ever.

Last year, Stefania performed Last Dance in Rotterdam, securing a very respectable 10th place finish. She revealed the name of the lucky 2022 participant during a live broadcast on Greek television.
