Aleksa Jelić completes Serbian line-up

16 January 2015 at 17:00 CET

Two female singers had already been chosen to take part in the Serbian national selection, now it was time for a male artist: Aleksa Jelić was announced as the third candidate on Tuesday, but the line-up for the Final has been officially confirmed by RTS today.

Aleksa Jelić already took part and performed at Beovizija in 2008, competing together with a Serbian female pop singer Ana Štajdohar for the role of Serbian representative at Eurovision Song Contest. However, they have ended third that year. But their song Beli Jablane turned into a huge hit across the country.

Danice Krstić was chosen through auditions. Bojana Stamenov is a quite known face in Serbia, a great performer often compared with the soul diva Aretha Franklin. She was one of the favourites for winning the Talent show in 2011.

Vladimir Graić will compose all three songs in the Serbian national final. He had previously penned the winning song of the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, Molitva, for Marija Šerifović.

In a live show broadcast scheduled for the 15th of February, the Serbian public broadcaster will get to choose the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest by televoting.
