
Albania: Young but strong!
25 April 2009 at 12:32 CESTSince a few years, Albania is traditionally the first country to select its representative and song for the Eurovision Song Contest through a televised national final.
Kejsi Tola won the 47th Festivali i Këngës Në RTSH with the song Më Merr Në Ëndërr, an up-tempo song with strong national influences. The lyrics were written by Agim Doçi, who also wrote Albania's 2004 Eurovision Song Contest entry Imazhi Yt. The song was finally performed in English. It'll be performed in English also in Moscow. One of the youngest participants!
Kejsi was born on the 5th of February in 1992 and is studying in the artistic lyceum of Jordan Misja in Tirana.
Her career started when she was 11-years-old in the Young Voices of Albanian Festival Song contest winning the first prize, and two time winner of the young voices of the Shkodra Festival Contest.
In the first Contest of Young Geniuses she was one of the ten finalists. In 2008 she won the Best New Artist prize in the Friday Fever Song Contest of Albanian modern music.
She'll perform sixteenth in the second Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest on the 14th of May in Moscow. Read more about her on her Artist Profile.
