Albania starts race for Eurovision

Once again, Festivali i Këngës will be the name of the Albanian national selection. The rules will stay very similar to last years as well. Namely, the song should be sung in Albanian and the same goes for the author(s) and performer(s) nationalities.

Every composer and singer can take part with one song but lyricists can be in the heat of the competition with up to two texts.

The songs which will compete for the trophy, will be selected by a jury after hearing all the entries that have got to the broadcaster between the 19th and 20th of October.

Last year, Albania's pick, Juliana Pasha, reached the Final of Europe's favourite TV-show and placed 16th with her song It's All About You.
