
Albania: Eurovision entry selected in Festivali i Këngës
31 October 2014 at 19:51 CETFestivali i Këngës has been held every year since 1962, making 2014 its 53rd edition. However, it has served as the Albanian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest only since 2004, when the country was represented in Europe's Favorite TV Show for the first time.
This year, the final of the "festival of the song" will take place in the Palace of Congress in Tirana on December 28th. Before that, two semi-finals will be shown by the public broadcaster RTSH on December 26 and 27, respectively.
No fewer than 28 acts will compete in these semi-finals, and only 18 of them will proceed to the final. Here is the full list:

The artistic director of the show is Shpetim Saraçi, the screenwriter is Mira Tuci.
So, just before New Year, we will already know who will be the next Albanian Eurovision Song Contest representative after Hersi, who sang One Night's Anger on stage in Copenhagen this year.
