A spectacular crescendo for Albania

12 May 2015 at 17:15 CEST
She is already a star in Albania and Italy. Now she is setting out to conquer the rest of Europe with her music: Elhaida Dani is performing I'm Alive in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, and today she had her first rehearsal at the Wiener Stadthalle.

Elhaida's heavyhearted song

One can immediately notice that she is a real professional in what she is doing and how she sings. The whole performance was compiled with Elhaida's extremely good voice. The tragedy of her song I’m Alive was reflected through broken pieces of glass on the background. The singer herself wore the black costume with glittery cape, while her backing vocalists had the white costumes on.

The whole atmosphere on stage is a bit dark and magical. It begins with morning’s yellowish light and finishes in the darkness with a spectacular crescendo.

"It is less scary than I thought beforehand - actually I feel very good", Elhaida Dani told us about her feelings when she arrived backstage at the Wiener Stadthalle. She is a very experienced artist, having won The Voice of Italy in 2013. "I don't do much vocal training before going on stage", she admitted.

What dress will she wear on the night of the First Semi-Final? "You will see it very soon - just watch our rehearsal today", Elhaida explained, trying to keep the secret as long as possible.
