A new year has come, a new day has dawned, a new Eurovision season has begun. Happy new year! We would like to wish you all a happy, safe and successful 2017. The Eurovision Song Contest is only months away and the excitement is already building. Here are five things to look forward to in 2017. 
  • Two and a half months of national selections

National selection season is already underway. Over the coming weeks all the entries for 2017 will be unveiled, you can keep up with all the official news right here on Eurovision.tv!

  • 43 songs 

A record 43 countries will compete in Kyiv in 2017 which means 43 entries for you to listen to. Do you have a favourite country in the contest?

  • A new look website

Eurovision.tv is changing and we are currently designing a brand new website. On top of this, the slogan and artwork for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest will be released. Keep an eye on the website for the latest official announcements including ticket sales and stage design.

  • Eurovision in Ukraine

Ukraine has hosted three Eurovision events; Junior Eurovision twice (2009, 2013) and the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005. Kyiv won the right to host the 2017 show beating off competition from five other Ukrainian cities.

  • New year, new winner

From a dance song in 2012 to a belting ballad in 2014, a number of different styles of music have won the Eurovision Song Contest. Which style of music do you think will win in 2017?
