The Roop is a group from Lithuania that consists of members Vaidotas Valiukevičius, Robertas Baranauskas, and Mantas Banišauskas. Their musical style can be described as a mix of rock, pop-rock, soft-rock, dance-rock, indie and pop.
Their debut single Be Mine was only released in 2014 but each artist has come from a long history in other music projects. The Roop have appeared in all of the largest music festivals in Lithuania, including Granatos Live and Karklė, Galapagai, as well as multiple international shows.
The group were chosen to represent their country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 before it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Their Eurovision 2020 entry called On Fire broke streaming records in Lithuania and became the third most streamed song on the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel that year.
Their latest song Discoteque has already broken streaming records.
