Monika Linkytė and Vaidas Baumila

Previously, it was planned that a solo entry would be the Lithuanian choice, but as fate would have it, Monika Linkytė and Vaidas Baumila persuaded both TV viewers and the professional jury, with their fresh, and beaming with joy performance. In Vienna, the duet will sing This Time.

Vaidas Baumila is one of the best-known singers of the young generation in Lithuania. After a period of singing on the cruise ship Queen Elizabeth, he has been a part of prestigious plays and various TV projects.

Back in 2006, the singer released his debut album What Do You Like? to great popularity. His second album Listen to Me was released in 2008 and gave him the award of Best Singer in Lithuania. The singer is currently working on his third album, which is to be released in March 2015.

When Monika was a little girl she used to dream of being a dancer. However, as soon as she had started to play the piano, Monika understood that music is more important than anything else.

“I am sure that the biggest achievement of a person is finding himself. I say that from my own experience.” – claims Monika. She has participated in a number of musical contests, festivals and TV projects and has taken part in the Lithuanian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest since 2009.

Lyrics of This Time

This time, I think I’m falling in love
This time, you’re sent from heaven above
Oh oh oh
My God, stop for a minute and think
How ‘bout we just go out for a drink
Oh oh oh
‘Cos every time I close my eyes
I feel you near

I’m feeling love, love, love
Round and round and round and round and round we go
I’m feeling love, love, love
Round and round and round and round and right in my heart

This time, I hope you don’t mind
I’ll help you put your troubles behind
Oh oh oh
I know there’s a reason for this
One kiss, and you will see what you've missed
Oh oh oh

I’m feeling love, love, love
Round and round and round and round and round we go
I’m feeling love, love, love
Round and round and round and round and right in my heart

Is this how it goes?
I don’t know…
