In periferia fa molto caldoMamma stai tranquilla sto arrivandoTe la prenderai per un bugiardoTi sembrava amore ma era altroBeve champagne sotto RamadanAlla TV danno Jackie ChanFuma narghilè mi chiede come va
Mi chiede come va, come va, come vaSai già come va, come va, come va
Mi chiedevi come va, come va, come va Adesso come va, come va, come va
Ciò che devi dire non l’hai dettoTradire è una pallottola nel pettoPrendi tutta la tua carità Menti a casa ma lo sai che lo saSu una sedia lei mi chiederà
Mi chiede come va, come va, come vaSai già come va, come va, come va
Penso più veloce per capire se domani tu mi fregheraiNon ho tempo per chiarire perché solo ora so cosa seiÈ difficile stare al mondo Quando perdi l’orgoglioHo capito in un secondo che tu da me
Volevi solo soldiCome se avessi avuto soldi, soldi Prima mi parlavi fino a tardi, tardi
Mi chiedevi come va, come va, come vaAdesso come va, come va, come va
Mi chiedi come va, come va, come va Sai già come va, come va, come va

It’s quite hot in the suburbsMum, don’t worry, I’m on my way homeYou will be disappointed by a liarIt looked like love to you but it was something elseHe drinks champagne during RamadanOn the telly they are airing Jackie ChanHe smokes shisha. He asks me how I’m doing
He asks me «How are you doing?» «How are you doing?» «How are you doing?»You already know how things are going, how things are going, how things are going.
I think faster trying to figure outwhether tomorrow you will fool me I got no time to clear things upBecause only now I found out what you areBeing alive it’s not easy
When you lose your prideYou leave home out of the blueYou, tell me whetherYou only thought about money, moneyAs if I have had any money, moneyTell me whether you miss me or you don’t give a damn
You used to ask me «How are you doing?» «How are you doing?» «How are you doing?»Now how things are going, how things are going, how things are going?
You haven’t told yet what you had to tellBetrayal is a bullet in the chestKeep all your mercy to yourselfYou keep lying at home but you know that she knows(Sittin’) on a chair she’ll be asking me
You ask me «How are you doing?» «How are you doing?» «How are you doing?»You already know how things are going, how things are going, how things are going.
I I think faster trying to figure outwhether tomorrow you will fool me I got no time to clear things upBecause only now I found out what you areBeing alive it’s not easyWhen you lose your prideI figured it out in one secondThat you, from meYou only wanted money, moneyAs if I have had any money, moneyBefore, you used to talk to me till late
You used to ask me «How are you doing?» «How are you doing?» «How are you doing?»Now how things are going, how things are going, how things are going?
«My son, my son, darling, come over here»You used to tell me while playing, looking proud«My son, my son, darling», it looked realyour wish, your wish to bring things back to what they were
I – from you – didn’t want any money…Being alive it’s not easyWhen you lose your prideYou leave home out of the blueYou, tell me if
You only wanted money, moneyAs if I had any money, moneyYou leave the city without anybody knowingYesterday you were here, where are you now, dad?
You ask me «How are you doing?» «How are you doing?» «How are you doing?»You already know how things are going, how things are going, how things are going.
