Nela Pocisková, an actress and singer known from musicals and popular TV shows, was born in 1990, in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. Currently, she is in her third year of study at the Bratislava State Conservatory.
Nela Pocisková starred as Maria in West Side Story, and has received much praise and raised a lot of interest also for her other theater roles. The role of Nela Petrovičová in the popular TV-series, Ordinácia V Ružovej Záhrade (Doctor´s Office In The Rose Garden), has brought immense popularity to the young actress. In the TV series her partners are Ján Alžbetkin and Kamil Mikulčík, with whom she performed her song in the Slovak national final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.
Kamil Mikulčík - the male voice on stage
Kamil was born on the 18th of November in 1977 in Trnava. He's studied in the University of Economics in Bratislava and at the same time also in the Theatre Department of the Academy of Performing Arts where he got the Master of Arts degree in 2001.
He's performed in many plays and has even composed some of them!
Kamil's a permanent member of Jakub Nvota’s Traveling Theatre as an actor and musical composer and he's been involved with radio-shows, films and advertisements.
Rastislav Dubovský - the piano master
Rastislav was born on the 8th of October, 1976. He graduated from the Academy of Music and Drama in Bratislava with the specialization in composition. He also completed the postgraduate study of composition at Universitat Für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna. He was awarded a composition prize Reichenau (1999) for the work Pulsation and composition prize SOZA (2000) for the work Woodwind Quartet.
Rastislav is the author of orchestral, chamber, and electroacoustical compositions presented in Slovakia and abroad. Besides concert music he composes music for films, television and radio, theatre, dance and pantomimic performances, musicals, songs and music for children. Over last years he has also worked as a music director and arranger of multimedia projects of various artistic styles.
Jan Pospíšil - maestro on the cello
Jan Pospíšil plays first cello in the orchestra of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava. In 2001, he completed his studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and is currently also working on his doctoral studies.
He graduated from the Conservatory in Brno. He has successfully participated in various competitions, such as the National Chamber Music Competition in Česke Budejovice (first prize), the International Heran´s Cello Competition (third prize), and the Conservatory Competition of the Czech Republic (second prize). He continued to perfect his playing through master classes with various teachers.
Currently, Mr. Pospíšil teaches at the Church Conservatory in Bratislava. He is also the artistic director of a cello group called Čelisti (the Cellists). Mr. Pospíšil is a member of the chamber orchestra Bratislava Classic, as well as of the Slovak Festival Orchestra, a chamber orchestra which performs mainly in Ireland and Northern Ireland. With both groups he performs both as a soloist and as a regular member of the orchestra. He gives concerts in the Czech Republic as well as abroad and has performed in Slovakia, Finland, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Austria, Spain, Japan and Ireland.
