Jana Burčeska
Jana will represent FYR Macedonia in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Dance Alone.Jana first rose to fame in FYR Macedonia in 2011 when she appeared on the first and only season of Macedonian Idol. Jana has taken part in more than 60 events supporting disadvantaged people since 2011. In the same year she took on the role of UNICEF Ambassador where she promoted schools free of violence.
Jana debuted in Skopje Fest, the Macedonian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2012 with the song Bi bila tvoja and immediately caught the attention of the public with her refined and sensitive stage performance and vocals. Participated again in 2013 and 2015 however in those years the contest was not used to select the Macedonian Eurovision Song Contest entry. When Jana was selected for Kyiv she said "My heart skipped a beat when I was told the good news and I have kept on smiling ever since."

I’ve done pushups with Batman on the Brooklyn Bridge, NYC. I can rap better than you think and I can fluently pronounce the German word Aufmerksamkeitsdefizitmedikamentenbeipackzettel.
Do you have a (lucky) routine before you go on stage?
I’m still working on it!
Why is the Eurovision Song Contest important for you?
It is an opportunity to show many that Europe is about different cultures, but similar values – this is witnessed by the number of viewers which proves that music unites people. The Eurovision Song Contest unites in times when unity is needed the most. If this doesn’t make it special and important, then what does?

Dance Alone was written and produced by Joacim Perrson, Alex Omar, Florence A., Bobi-Leon Milanov. They belong to the group Symphonix International, which is a well-known trademark brand, consisting of composers, songwriters and music producers. Both together and separately, they have produced many successful Eurovision songs over the years. They have worked on many projects for platinum-selling artists such as Kelly Clarkson, John Legend Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Jonas Brothers, Tokio Hotel, Mary J.
