This year’s Azerbaijani representative, Elnur Huseynov, is not new in the Europe’s favourite TV show and the Eurovision family. In 2008, Elnur together with Samir represented Azerbaijan for the first ever time in the Eurovision Song Contest. This year, Elnur will sing his mystical contemporary ballad Hour Of The Wolf.

Elnur Huseynov is an Azerbaijani singer, born in 1987. At the age of five, Elnur had his first experience with music, when he started attending piano and vocal classes. Later on, Elnur began to experiment with different music styles such as classic, jazz and pop. He worked at the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and at the State Philharmonic Hall. Elnur continued improving his vocal technique under the guidance of renowned vocal coaches.

The Azerbaijani artist will take the Eurovision stage for a second time. In 2008 as a part of Elnur & Samir duo with the song Day After Day, he reached the eighth place in the Grand Final.

After the Eurovision Song Contest, Elnur’s musical career had an unexpected turn. He played a part of Phoebus in Azerbaijan's version Notre-Dame De Paris. In February this year, Elnur won the fourth season of Turkish version of the The Voice. In the final battle he set up a record in the televoting history of the show by collecting over a million votes.

What are the three most interesting aspects about your entry?

Hour Of The Wolf is a mystical contemporary ballad. I’m already in love with my song. I will take the Eurovision stage for a second time this year. In 2008, as a part of Elnur & Samir duo with the song Day After Day we reached the eighth place in the Final. We’ve already have many ideas on hypnotising stage presentation, so you should expect something special at in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.

Do you have a (lucky) routine before you go on stage?

Well, to be honest I don’t have any. It’s high time I adopt some 'lucky' routine before the Contest.

Why is the Eurovision Song Contest important for you?

It’s a great chance to present myself as a solo artist. I believe in my entry song as it has so many powerful messages. It is truly a song with great meaning of which the most important is ‘that every heart deserves a fight’ and we should never give up. We must fight for our happiness.

Lyrics of Hour Of The Wolf

I hold my breath, I´m on the edge Storming hills, I´ve been lost and found I hope they're coming, I can hear them running I once met peace, he said that he Soon would have the answers to this hurt And my mind was made up, I would never give up No I won't sleep tonight If tomorrow comes I'll lose my mind I won't give up my right, I know every heart deserves a fight I will beat on the drum, rise above with me I will go till I'm numb, rise above with me No I won't sleep tonight They whine and roar, hungry for more Yellow glowing eyes, I’m hypnotised I feel brave yet scared, but I'll stay prepared Oh have my soul, it’s destined It’s written in the sky Let me not be blinded by this hurt Set him loose I’m ready For the stars to guide me No I won't sleep tonight If tomorrow comes I'll lose my mind No I won't sleep tonight If tomorrow comes I'll lose my mind I won't give up my right, I know every heart deserves a fight I will beat on the drum, rise above with me I will go till I'm numb, rise above with me No I won't sleep tonight No I won't sleep tonight If tomorrow comes I'll lose my mind I won't give up my right, I know every heart deserves a fight
