DemyA gifted young musician, singer and actress, Demy has gained both national and international acclaim since 2011 and will represent Greece in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song This Is Love.
Demy’s love with music started at a very early age, with piano lessons at the young age of five, before she even went to school. Meanwhile, she enrolled for the school choir and also attended music theory and harmony lessons. To this day she continues to take vocal coaching as well as piano lessons.
Demy's musical influences come from many different kinds of music, of which she distinguishes jazz, soul, rock n’ roll and r’n’b as the most influential. She aims to experiment with every one of her songs and she avoids categorising herself in one particular kind of music.
After her official launch in the music world in 2011, Demy has enjoyed a series of successful collaborations with well-known Greek artists, and has released several singles that gained both national and international acclaim. During the past two years she has started a stage career resulting in leading roles in big scale musical productions.
In her free time, Demy is a diligent law student.

What are the most interesting aspects about your entry?

Before I go on stage I take a moment to relax, concentrate, and get ready to give my best performance to the audience.
Why is the Eurovision Song Contest important for you?
I am thrilled at the idea of taking part in one of the best shows in the world, and get to connect with a huge international audience. And besides, I’ve always been a Eurovision fan!
