Carousel
Carousel is a Latvian indie pop band from Riga that was founded in 2015. They will represent Latvia at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv with the song 'That Night'. Singer Sabine Zuga and Marcis Vasilevskis on guitar initially performed songs from their favourite Latvian artists but in 2018 they took the leap and started creating their own music.The duo dared to dream in 2019 when they took part in Supernova, Latvia's national Eurovision Song Contest selection. With their vintage, stripped back, romantic track That Night Sabine's gentle warm vocals blends with Marcis' musical artistry and they won the competition and the ticket to Eurovision in Tel Aviv.
The duo has now become a quartet with the addition of Stanislav Judins on double bass and Mareks Logins on drums, bringing a distinctive vibe and sound.
Carousel are currently working on their debut album and are looking forward to taking to the big stage in Tel Aviv, seeing this as a fantastic opportunity to showcase their talent to an international audience.
