Aurela Gaçe
Aurela Gace was born in Vlora on October 16th, 1974. She started singing at the age of 4, in the children’s festival in her native city of Vlora. From Festival to festival she continued to win different awards. She graduated with a degree in Drama, at the Academy of Arts in Tirana.At the age of 19, she participated in the music festival on national TV in Tirana with her song Pegasus. Later on, she competed in the Spring Festival 94 and won the first award.
Aurela's real success began with her song Night in Fest 95. She also won the first prize in Fest 99 with her song S'jam Tribu, and in Fest 01 with her song I Feel.
She performed live concerts around Albania and released various albums from 1998 on. Aurela's style of singing varies from pop to folk. In 2002, Aurela moved in USA where she currently resides. She quickly gained popularity there, in the Albanian community.
Aurela’s comeback in the Albanian Song Festival, where she first started her career, was in 2005 as a special guest, and a year later she was awarded with the first prize in the Magic Song Festival with a song titled Open Yourself.
She is the winner of the last Albanian Radio Television Song Festival, and will represent Albania in Düsseldorf in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with her song Feel The Passion with the lyrics of Sokol Marsi, composed by Shpetim Saraci.
