Latvia 2005's Valters Fridenbergs dies at the age of 30
Valters Fridenbergs, one half of the duo Walters & Kazha, died this morning at the age of 30. The duo represented Latvia in 2005 with the song 'The War Is Not Over' and finished 5th place. Valters was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, and lost his battle with the disease on the 17th of October 2018. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Valters' family and friends.
The Netherlands' 1964 participant Anneke Grönloh passes away
At the age of 76, the Dutch singer passed away at her home in France. Anneke Grönloh came in 10th at the 1964 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Jij bent mijn leven (You Are My Life). Her career lasted more than 50 years, and she sold a notable 30 million records worldwide.

Tonight at 20:30 CEST the 2018 Eurovision Young Musicians Final will be taking place in the Usher Hall in Edinburgh. Six finalists will compete for the title, accompanied by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
