Their first artist to take to the Grand Final stage was singer Dan Bittman with Dincolo De Nori (‘Beyond The Clouds’) eventually placing 21st in a field of 25.

The country has finished third on two occasions courtesy of Luminița Anghel and Sistem with Let Me Try in 2005, and Paula Seling and Ovi’s Playing With Fire in 2010. 

Though they’re yet to win or hold the Eurovision Song Contest, their capital Bucharest did host Junior Eurovision in 2006.
