Edyta Górniak’s To Nie Ja! (‘It Wasn’t Me!’) is still the country’s most successful entry, despite having contributed many memorable and popular performances since that first outing.

In 2016 Michał Szpak enjoyed a spectacular ascent of the scoreboard when, after receiving just 7 points from the juries, a massive televote of 222 points catapulted Color of Your Life up from last place to 8th position overall.

Though Poland has yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest, they have enjoyed back-to-back victories at Junior Eurovision courtesy of Roksana Węgiel (Anyone I Want to Be 2018) and Viki Gabor (Superhero 2019). They’ve also triumphed at Eurovision Young Musicians (in 1992, 2000 and 2016) and Eurovision Young Dancers (in 2001 and 2017).
