Norway made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1960.

The country has finished last more times than any other however in the case of Jahn Teigen, who scored zero in 1978, it turned him into a star. When Norway won the Eurovision Song Contest for a third time in 2009 the country received the highest number of points since the contest began. That record was broken in 2016.
