The country’s most successful entries so far are Sofia Nizharadze’s Shine and Eldrine’s One More Day, both finishing 9th in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
In 2013, despite placing 15th in the Grand Final, Nodi Tatishvili and Sophie Gelovani became the first Georgian act to win a Marcel Bezençon Award as voted for by the attending press for their song Waterfall.
Though Georgia has yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest, they have had a lot of success in Junior Eurovision, winning on four occasions thanks to Bzikebi (Bzz.. 2008), Candy (Candy Music 2011), Mariam Mamadashvili (Mzeo 2016) and Andria Putkaradze (To My Mom 2024) - making them the most successful JESC nation!
