Andorra debuted in 2004 after broadcaster Ràdio i Televisió d'Andorra (RTVA) created a national final to select their artist for the Contest in Istanbul.

Marta Roure was chosen and sang Jugarem a Estimar-Nos; the first Eurovision song to be performed in the Catalan language.

The Pyrenees micronation remains the only country to have participated in the Eurovision Song Contest to have never reached a Grand Final; the closest they came to qualifying was in 2007 when rock band Anonymous took Salvem El Món to 12th place in the Semi-Final.

Andorra last took part in Moscow 2009; they were represented by Susanne Georgi who continues to promote the prospect of her country returning to the Contest.
